Compassion, integrity, and flexibility guide me in providing the perfect mix of patient centered care. Access to care is important to me, so my mission is to strive to keep therapy within reach for all.
My desire to practice Myofunctional Therapy stems from my own story. As I researched this field I began to connect the dots between my own lifelong oral dysfunction and a host of related health conditions. This “awakening” sparked a keen interest to help children and adults achieve optimal overall health through myofunctional therapy and I enjoy working with all ages to improve oral function, as it relates to breathing, sleep, and overall health. My ultimate goal and mission is simple: to help you (or your child) thrive.
I earned a degree in dental hygiene in 2004 and have provided care to patients of all ages both locally and abroad. One of the most rewarding points in my career was the opportunity to travel as a dental team member to Romania to provide care to orphans. In my daily clinical role, I enjoy partnering with patients to help them achieve optimal oral and overall health.
I obtained my Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT) training through the Myomentor program and have continued to build on that foundation through completing coursework with The Breathe Institute as well as ongoing continuing education. I am a proud member of the American Association of Physiologic Medicine and Dentistry whose mission is “to recognize the role and importance of optimal airway physiology and sleep in the areas of health, development, performance, and function.”
Finally, I have called North Seattle home my entire life. The breathtaking beauty of the Puget Sound and the surrounding mountains brings me peace and joy. You will often find me skiing a local mountain when there is snow or hiking a remote trail or playing on a lake when it is sunny and warm. In between, I value time with all four generations of my family.
